The intake air temperature reading is implausible in context - not obviously out of range, but inconsistent with the other temperatures the module can see, such as coolant temperature after a cold soak.
Possible causes
- CommonSensor drifting out of calibration with age
- CommonPoor connection adding resistance to the circuit
- PossibleSensor located where it reads heat soak from the engine rather than intake air

- Check engine light on
- Slightly worse fuel economy
- Often no noticeable symptom
What to check, in order
- With the engine cold after standing overnight, compare intake air temperature and coolant temperature on the live data screen. They should read close together and close to ambient.
- Inspect the connector for corrosion, which adds resistance and shifts the reading.
- Check the sensor is correctly located and not touching a hot surface.
