Injector Control Pressure Regulator Circuit High

The injector control pressure regulator circuit is reading high - typically shorted to voltage or a lost earth. The module cannot control injection pressure and will restrict the engine.

What to check, in order
- Disconnect the regulator and check whether the high reading persists at the harness.
- Check the engine oil level, condition and grade first. These systems fire the injectors using engine oil at very high pressure, so oil faults cause more problems here than wiring does.
- Inspect the connector for oil contamination - a leaking seal fills its own plug.
- Measure the regulator winding resistance against specification.
- Watch commanded against actual injector control pressure on the live data screen.
- Read all codes - pressure codes alongside this one usually mean the pressure is genuinely wrong.
