Actuator Supply Voltage "A" Circuit/Open

An open circuit or general fault in actuator supply voltage "A". This is the supply the module provides to a group of actuators - solenoids, valves, relays - rather than to sensors. When it is lost, everything on that supply stops working at once, so expect several actuator codes together rather than one.
Possible causes
- CommonBlown fuse on the actuator supply
- CommonWiring or connector fault on the supply circuit
- CommonOne actuator failed internally and shorted the supply
- PossibleCorroded or water-ingressed connector
- PossibleFailed relay feeding the supply
- PossibleFailed control module supply driver
What you might notice
- Several actuator codes at once
- Limp mode or reduced power
- Engine running badly or not starting
- Multiple systems inoperative together
- Check engine light on
What to check, in order
- Check the fuses first. A blown fuse on a shared supply is the cheapest possible cause and it explains every code stored alongside.
- List which actuators have faulted - they share supply "A", and that list tells you which circuit to trace.
- Disconnect actuators on that supply one at a time while watching the supply voltage. Recovery identifies the one that is shorting it.
- Inspect connectors for water and corrosion.
- Do not diagnose the individual actuator codes until the supply is restored.
